Orianna Joy (Orianna Naomi Joy Sells) was born May 5th, 1992 in Columbia, Maryland. She, along with her parents, moved to New Bern, NC in 2000, where she made her way through several public and private schools. Having been sheltered from mainstream music in general, she was relegated to listening to oldies and gospel, namely The Supremes and Mary Mary. Having first attended St. Andrews University (then St. Andrews Presbyterian) in 2010, and then North Carolina Central University 2012, she met John F. Sells at an Impact Leadership conference in 2013. Graduating in 2014, she married John in 2016, and since then, they have been inseparable, in both life and love.
